What are we learning this week?

Week Beginning  Monday 17th September:

English - this week we will continue our lessons based around the text The Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis.  

Mathematics - we will be counting forwards and backwards to 100, beginning with 0 or 1, or from any given number.  We will be finding 1 more and 1 less than any given number to 20/50 or 100.  The children will also be reading and writing numbers to 20 in words and numerals.

Keep practising your tables - We start with our X10 table.  We will have weekly tests  -  keep practising!!  The test will always be on a Wednesday.

SCIENCE - We will continue our topic: Animals Including Humans. This week we are labelling and naming parts of our body.  We will also be investigating & asking scientific questions using a website called Explorify.

TOPIC - We will continue learning about the lives of LS Lowery and also Pieter Bruegel the Elder.

PE - This half term we will have Miss Alyson, our PE specialist for our Games lessons.  We will also be completing a Gymnastic Unit of work called Rocking and Rolling (6 lessons)

MUSIC - We continue our unit of work Hey You! looking at pulse in music.
