Reading

Reading is an essentail part of a childs learning journey. In Year 5 we have a variety of books icluding both fiction and non-fiction books available for the children to read for pleasure. The children choose a book to read for pleasure at home and one for school. 

 

This term we will be reading two texts; Fiction text - Kathryn Rundell 'The Good Theives.'

The non fiction text will be  - The International space station

Both of these texts link to what we will be learning about in PSHE and differences and North America in Science.

Policies and Website

‘We are saddened to confirm the departure of our Headteacher, Mr. McCoy, who left Sherdley Primary School at the end of the Spring Term. From the Summer Term, Mrs. Bennett will be acting as Head. With this in mind and as you can appreciate, many of our policies have Mr. McCoy's name on, these will be updated to Mrs. Bennett.
